Traditionally, a bonsai is nurtured over decades, even centuries. Yet many reach the end of their living journey prematurely due to lack of care or pests.
RE BONSAI™ envisions what lies beyond for these quiet lives. Guided by the concept “from bonsai to be nurtured, to bonsai to simply be.”
By breathing new life into the enduring form and understated dignity of dried trees, RE BONSAI™ is an upcycled art form that revitalizes traditional Japanese bonsai culture.

RE BONSAI™ is created by Tokyo-based art brand TOUFU TOKYO, through a collaboration between artist Yoshio Suzuki and anyBOUND.
Upcycling dried bonsai through specialized drying and preservation techniques gives each piece a renewed essence. With no two trees sharing the same form, every creation is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.
